Book Signing and Labor Day

Recently I went to hear the author of Three Cups of Tea. Greg Mortenson was in Murfreesboro and told of his "Indian Jones" adventures in Afghanistan while building schools for the children. It is a great book and I would recommend it.
We are laboring on Labor Day weekend. Stephen has gather leaves and has pressed them under these books for a Biology project. Katie Ann is completing a "Scientific Method" project for science.
Caroline had to come up with her own invention and design it. She came up with a laser device that scan your carpet and if a certain % of the color is not absorbed, ( because things are on the floor) then an alarm goes off. When ask how she came up with it, she said she was cleaning her room and the idea came to her. Now that are dining room is gone. Our pool table has become the project table.

17 and 48- The end of the month birthday's

July is an age upgrade for 2/3 of the Bass family(4 out of 6 July birthday's for those who need help with the math). Here are the last two of the month.....Jason (17) and David (48) It good to know that at 17 there is still a boy inside of him.
We don't know if this is posed or if there is a secret desire in music we haven't learned about Jason. Jason is quite the responsible one and is social. Very steady we think. He does keep us wondering. It is hard to believe he turned 17 in July.
Even though David has settled down a bit from his younger adventures, he is still adventurous. And these gift from his office both have a story. But you will have to come visit us to find out.
We are grateful to have both these men in our family. God is still growing them both!
