Christmas In Alabama

The weekend before Christmas we went to Alabama to see family. Michele's sister was there with her family. We ate seafood, pizza and a little bit of dressing. Here are a few memories.

Can the Bass kids dance?

Can the Bass kids dance? They try ! At school, the student council has put on four dances in the last few years. They hire some one to teach "The Swing" and other dances. All the kids seem to have fun . Stephen has left PCA but he returned and gave anyone who would listen a lesson. He did not stop the whole time.

Christmas Cards................

Why is it so hard to get a Christmas Card picture of four kids. First, they all need to be home. then it would be nice if they are not in T-shirts. So......... I thought Sunday after church would be a good time. Little did I know that Stephen didn't wash his hair but just ran water over it during his morning shower. The sad thing is that I didn't notice it until I got the pictures back.

Then the one with the tree......Caroline had a little trouble not getting emotional. The picture with the phone is when Dad called to see why we were not answering the phone in the house.
Then of course there is always a little play time. Needless to say, we don't have a picture for a Christmas card. We are looking into other options!

This and That

We made a trip to the local tree farm for a Christmas Tree. We had been trying to get there for over a week. Due to rain, we had postoned the trip. We hurried out of church, rushed through lunch and made our way with the Smith family.

When we arrived, there was a whole field missing. The field where we cut our tree last year was empty. There was a section roped off in yellow tape. It was not large and the trees were skinny. After asking around, we learned that the drought had caused this tree farm to lose several trees and they quit growing. We felt for the family who owned the tree farm but could not bring ourselves to pay for such a small tree. So we went to Lowes. Actually ther were only three left at Lowes!
Above is Stephen at Paw Paws house. Below is Caroline and cousin Jordan sitting on the ball that they were playing keep away with.
