An Unusual Week for the Bass

There will be four times (hopefully) that this day will happen. We have already experienced one about a year ago. This June we experience #2. Stephen registered for his freshman year. He is now a registered college man at Auburn with 16 hours and he is the most excited that on Tuesday and Thursday he does not have to be at class until 11:00. The Beach.....we chose not to go to the beach in the summer for many years. And one day at the beach with 500 people with the average age 10 reminded me why. But we travelled 5 miles down the rode to Grayton State Park. A few locals were on the beach. Here we had a front row seat. The water was warm and I had a good book. I also did not have to look up but every 10 minutes to check on the family. After 14 years, here we are.

Katie Ann and Caroline were our tag a longs for the week at the beach. They did not complain.

What are they thinking?

A Memory Field. It is full of flags and names we do not know. But I like to go there. Why? You have to stop for a moment and think. Who are these people and why does the city of Murfreesboro have a weekend of all these flags. I can walk freely because of these people. I don't know all the answer of wars but I do know that people sacrificed for my and they did even know who I was.
