Summer Sport at the Bass House

Our new sport for the summer is badmitten on a string. No net. There are good reasons to have a string instead of a net: 1. It does't fall down. 2. You don't have to move it to cut grass 3. You can have several different size courts.

Okay, wait. How does badmitton on a string work? Is the actual badmitton tied to a string?? If so, what's the other end tied to...a tree branch? I'm intrigued. You'll have to give me more detailed instructions. We may want to duplicate this game at our house!

Michele, thanks for posting updates on the family. The flooring in the family room looks great. I actually remember what it looked like before the change. It didn't look bad, but it looks super now!! You did a great job!

I am also impressed with all of the "kids" and their accomplishments. I know you are proud of them, too, and enjoying the fun and family time that summer provides.

If you ever come towards Atlanta, we'd love the to have the whole family for a visit. There are lots of fun things to do here...Braves games, Six Flags, White Water, Lake Lanier Water Park, you name it...we probably have it near by and you'd have a free place to stay. It sure would be fun to catch up.

Much love to you all,
Amanda Hartin and Family

The string is the net. It is tied from the fence at the backyard fence all the way to a tree near the house. You have to cross the "birdie" over the string. I bought a basmitten kit and it had not net. Jason had to improvise!
